Who is the anti-Christ ?

Who istheantichrist by lcl

1Jn 2:18 Little children, it is the last time. And just as you have heard that antichrist is coming, even now many antichrists have risen up, from which we know that it is the last hour.

1Jn 2:22 Who is a liar but he who denies that Jesus is the Christ? He who denies the Father and the Son is antichrist.

1Jn 4:3 and every spirit that does not confess that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is not of God. And this is the antichrist you heard is coming, and even now is already in the world.

2Th 2:2 that you should not be soon shaken in mind or troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word or letter, as through us, as if the Day of Christ is at hand. 2Th 2:3 Let not anyone deceive you by any means. For that Day shall not come unless there first comes a falling away, and the man of sin shall be revealed, the son of perdition,

2Th 2:4 who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God, or that is worshiped, so that he sits as God in the temple of God, setting himself forth, that he is God.

2Th 2:8 And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the breath of His mouth and shall destroy with the brightness of His coming, 2Th 2:9 whose coming is according to the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders,

Rev 19:20 And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet doing signs before it, (by which he deceived those who had received the mark of the beast), and those who had worshiped his image. The two were thrown alive into the Lake of Fire burning with brimstone.

Rev 20:10 And the Devil who deceived them was cast into the Lake of Fire and Brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet were. And he will be tormented day and night forever and ever.

During these last days there are many questions as to who is the antichrist described in scripture. The above verses indicate that there are many who are called antichrist because they do not believe in or support Christ as the son of God. If they are not for God, then they are against Him and will join the devil in the Lake of Fire because of their foolish choice.

The leader of the antichrists is one called the son of perdition who is empowered by Satan himself. He gains great worldly power and can perform miracles by satan’s power. He continually works to try and prove that he is God just as Satan does the same. After the antichrist leader goes into the Holy Temple, at Jerusalem, and stops the daily sacrifice for God, the time table begins for the great battle of Armageddon. In 2Th 2:8 we see God consuming the antichrist by a great wind of the Holy Spirit and Jesus’s return. When the battle is completed and 1/3 of all the nations who are against Israel are destroyed, then Christ returns and reigns 1000 years while Satan is cast into a locked pit. After the 1000 years he is released for a short while to again deceive and destroy. Eventually, Satan as the beast, the false prophet antichrist leader and all his followers are judged and cast into the lake of fire to be tormented forever.

A few more reflections on 2Th 2:8 :

I see this happening right at the time of the battle of Armageddon. The antichrist could be killed during the battle or by an angel but I don’t think so. The part that says with the breath of his mouth is translated in in other scripture to be concerned with the Holy Spirit. Of course the Spirit is operating greatly on those in battle because they become confused and kill one another.

Zec 12:4 In that day, says Jehovah, I will strike every horse with terror, and his rider with madness. And I will open My eyes on the house of Judah, and will strike every horse of the peoples with blindness. This confusion causes the enemy to kill each other during the battle.

Also, people will know the antichrist is a fake because all can see Christ’s return as the real messiah. Lastly, the holy light of Jesus will be intense as he returns to the Mt. of Olives where it splits. I can understand that God’s power will be so great that it could destroy evil ones. The Father and Jesus at this point are completely holy and that holiness will not allow evil in its presence. I believe that God the Father has always been so holy that no one could exist in His presence in Heaven without the protection of Christ’s blood as a covering.
