Wisdom

To obey (God) is better than sacrifice. Rebellion is like the sin of witchcraft. Stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry. 1Samual 15:22, 23

The Lord does not see as man sees; for man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart. 1Samuel 16:7

God’s people are destroyed (or fail) from a lack of knowledge. Hosea 4:6

The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom; a good understanding have all those who do His commandments. His praise endures forever. Psalm 111:10

The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge. Proverbs 1:7

God is not impressed by strength, but fear (high respect) of Him and those that hope in (for) His mercy. Acts 10:34,35, Rom. 2:10,11, Psalm 147:10,11, He is impressed by obedience to His commands, by love, mercy, truth and faithfulness. Proverbs 3:1-4

Fools hate knowledge and turn (reject God) at His rebuke. When God calls and we refuse Him; when He reaches out to us and we do not regard Him; then when calamity comes and we seek God and call on Him He will not hear and will not be found. Prov.1:23, 24, 27, 28, 29

God gives (is the source of) wisdom. Prov.2:6

Do not rely on what you think you know (by reasoning born of the world, but trust God’s Spirit and His word.) Proverbs 3:5

Adultery destroys the soul. Proverbs 6:32

Whoever finds (God), finds life and obtains favor from the Lord. Proverbs 8:35

He who walks with wise men (company) will be wise, but the companion of fools will be destroyed. Proverbs 13:20

A wise man fears (God and the law) and departs from evil. Proverbs 14:16 Wisdom rests in the heart of him who has understanding. Proverbs 14:15 A man’s heart plans his way, but the Lord directs his steps. Proverbs 16:9

Pride goes before destruction and a haughty spirit before a fall. Proverbs 16:18

Listen to advice and accept instruction, and in the end you will be wise. Proverbs 19:20, 12:15 The righteous & merciful perish and are taken from evil to enter into peace & rest.

Isaiah 57:1-2

Eating vegetables and drinking water is good for the body. Daniel 1:12-16

Do not expect spiritual wisdom if you have a hardened heart (unwilling to seek and obey Christ or give to the needy) Mark 6:52

To be wise without knowing God and giving Him glory & thanks is impossible.

Romans 1:21-22

If any lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given him. But let him ask in faith with no doubting. James 1:5-6

Call to God and He will answer to show you great and mighty things you do not know.

Jeremiah 33:3

Those who are wise should show good conduct by works done in the meekness of wisdom. If there is bitter envy in your heart do not boast and lie against the truth. This wisdom is earthly, sensual and demonic, for where envy and self seeking exist, there is confusion and every evil thing. Wisdom from above is pure, peaceable, gentle, willing to yield, full of mercy and good fruits, without partially and hypocrisy. James 3:13-17

When an unclean spirit is cast out of a person and the person return to sin, seven additional unclean spirits will return back into the person. Luke 11:24-26

There is nothing that is covered or hidden that will not be known. Luke 12:2-3

Much will be required from those to whom much has been given; and to whom much has been entrusted, even more will be demanded. (By God) Luke 12:48

To know Christ is to know (God) the Father. John 8:19 Whoever commits sin is a slave to sin. John 8:34

The devil is a murderer from the beginning. He is not surrounded by truth because there is no truth in him. He speaks lies and is the father of lies. John 8:44

Those who do not hear God’s words are not of God. John 8:47 When Christ is received, the Father is received. John 13:20

It is hard to go against God (plus truth & His will). Acts 9:5, Romans 1:18

Tribulations produce perseverance, perseverance produces character and character produces hope. Hope does not disappoint. Romans 5:3-5

Do not despise the chastening of the Lord, nor be discouraged when you are rebuked by Him; for whom the Lord loves He chastens, and scourges every son whom He receives. If you endure chastening, God deals with you as sons. Heb.12:5-11

Do not think yourself wise or think on high things, but associate with the humble.

Romans 12:16

Be wise in what is good, simple (unknowing) of evil. Romans 16:19

God is the true wise one, due glory through Christ forever. Romans 16:27

Do not worry that you have to save others through wise speech, but allow Christ’s sacrifice on the Cross to work. 1 Cor.1:17

God chose the foolish things of the world to put to shame the wise and the weak things to shame the mighty. The base (simple) things and things not seen overcome the things esteemed and highly thought of. 1Cor.1:27-28

Put faith (and trust) in the power of God instead of the wisdom of men. 1Cor.2:5 The wisdom of the world is foolishness with God. 1Cor.3:19-20

Walk in wisdom concerning those outside (the church), redeeming (making good use of) the time. Col.4:5

Evil men do not understand justice, but those who seek the Lord understand all. Proverbs 28:5 The letter (attention to detail) kills, but the Spirit gives life. (Look at the big picture and ask

God’s Spirit to guide you into truth and liberty.) 2nd Corinthians 3:6, 17 If anyone receives glory, it is given by God. 2ndCor.10:17

There are false apostles (church leaders). Even Satan can appear as an angel of God.

2Cor.11:13-14

There are many outside the church, and especially within the church, who are circumcised (as religious) that are insubordinate, idle talkers & deceivers, subverting whole households and teaching that which they should not for dishonest gain. Their mouths must be stopped by sharp rebukes. Titus 1:10-13

To the pure, all things are pure. But to those who are defiled and unbelieving, nothing is pure.

They profess to know God, but in their works they deny Him being abominable, disobedient and unqualified for all good works. Titus 1:15-16

Those who work to fulfill the desires of the flesh will be corrupted by those things. Those who work for the things of the Spirit will receive eternal life from the Spirit. Gal.6:8 (Unchecked anger, greed, lust or jealousy leads to sin. These are self fueling fires that consume the owner but do not satisfy.)

People are tempted when drawn away by their own desires and are enticed. Then when desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin , when full grown, brings forth death.

James 1:14-15

People stumble (spiritually) when they are disobedient to God’s word. 1st Peter 2:8

Satan can hinder, and tempt those in Christ. 1Thes.2:18, 3:5 But, they should not worry, knowing that (these battles) are a part of God’s plan. 1Thes.3:3

(The saved) are created by God in Christ to do good works, that were prepared in advance for (them) to do. Ephesians 2:4-10

God created all things through Christ. Ephesians 3:9

We are created that we might live for the praise of God’s glory. Ephesians 1:12 Godliness with contentment for basic needs shows spiritual maturity. Those who greedily

desire to be rich can fall into temptations, snares and lusts that lead to destruction and sorrows. Flee these things and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience and gentleness. Fight the good fight of faith and hang onto eternal life to which you were called and confessed before many witnesses. 1 Timothy 6:6-12

With the Lord, one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. 2nd Peter 3:8 God knows infants even before they are created in the womb. Jeremiah 1:5

He that hides his sin shall not prosper, but whoso confesses and forsakes sin shall have mercy.

Proverbs 28:13, similar 1John 1:9

When an unclean spirit is gone out of a man, the man will walk through dry places (hard times) seeking rest and finds none. Matt. 12:43-45 (This is a period of testing) for the unclean spirit may return and bring 7 more unclean spirits with him (if the man does not refill himself with godly things first.)

Spiritual understanding is given to the saved that they might know that they have eternal life and continue to believe in the name of Christ. 1John 5:13
