The Birth of Jesus
After Jesus rose from the dead to life, Rome decided to know more about this man they had crucified who came to life again. They dispatched investigators to find out all they could about Him. Interviews and writings were compiled and eventually found their way to the vaults of the Vatican at Rome. These writings, translated in The Archo Volume, were discovered by the authors in 1887. They give accounts by the shepherds of Christ’s birth, interviews with Joseph and Mary, Mary and Martha, the priest Ciaphas & Pilate.
The first account told by the shepherds and the priest, Melker, in Bethlehem, gives what I believe to be the most beautiful story of Jesus’s birth. It is my favorite Christmas reading that moves me greatly.
In addition, Rome’s interest in Christ along with the total change of attitude that His disciples had are two of the best proofs that Jesus really did come back to life and that His message to the world was true. There are many more reasons also, but only unusual happenings like these can account for the sudden changes in human behavior that were witnessed.
