2Co 3:2 You are our epistle written in our hearts, known and read by all men,
2Co 3:3 it having been made plain that you are the epistle of Christ, ministered by us, not having been written with ink, but with the Spirit of the living God; not on tablets of stone, but in fleshly tablets of the heart.
2Co 3:4 And we have such trust through Christ toward God,
2Co 3:5 not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think anything as of ourselves, but our sufficiency is of God;
2Co 3:6 who also has made us able ministers of the new covenant; not of the letter, but of the spirit; for the letter kills, but the Spirit makes alive.
A note to all desiring to witness about Christ and His salvation offer. Do not worry about so many of the details, but just present the basic idea that God loves people and desires that they accept and follow His son. Believe that He died for their sins and rose again to prove that He is the son of God the Father who overcame death that they might also live with Him in Heaven.
You are planting a seed of faith and understanding that God Himself will continue to nourish and bring to completion. As a child of god, you have the Holy Spirit within you who can touch the hearts of those hearing the message of hope being presented. The Holy Spirt knows all about all the doubts, fears and misunderstandings that people have concerning God. We can trust that the Holy Spirit can continue to draw the lost to God and build upon your witness of what God has done in your life. God is able to move mountains and people to do His bidding. You only need to provide the spark to set ablaze a curiosity to know God and understand His word. God will do the rest. Just be helpful, but not a bully or accuser. One caution though, all who desire to be deciplers must also be actively living as Christ desires, otherwise your message can be muted and made unbelievable. Do all with caring. Recall the passage about charity (love):
1Co_13:1 Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I have become as sounding brass or a tinkling cymbal.
1Co_13:2 And though I have prophecies, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so as to move mountains, and do not have charity, I am nothing.
1Co_13:3 And though I give out all my goods to feed the poor, and though I deliver my body to be burned, and have not charity, I am profited nothing.
1Co_13:4 Charity has patience, is kind; charity is not envious, is not vain, is not puffed up;
1Co_13:6 Charity does not rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices in the truth,
1Co_13:8 Charity never fails. But if there are prophecies, they will be abolished; if tongues, they shall cease; if knowledge, it will be abolished.
1Co_13:13 And now faith, hope, charity, these three remain; but the greatest of these is charity.
1Co_14:1 Follow after charity and desire spiritual things, but rather that you may prophesy.
1Co_16:14 Let all your things be done in charity.
God is all about love, good gifts, guidance and loving correction.
We are part of God’s team:
1Co 3:6 I have planted, Apollos watered, but God gave the increase.
1Co 3:7 So then neither is he who plants anything, nor he who waters, but God who gives the increase.
1Co 3:8 So he planting, and he watering, are one, and each one shall receive his own reward according to his own labor.
1Co 3:9 For of God we are fellow-workers, a field of God, and you are a building of God.
1Co 3:10 According to the grace of God which is given to me, as a wise master builder, I have laid the foundation, and another builds on it. But let every man be careful how he builds on it.
1Co 3:11 For any other foundation can no one lay than the one being laid, who is Jesus Christ.
