End times leading to and from Christ’s return and 1000 year reign on earth
End times leading to and from Christ’s return and 1000 year reign on earth by lcl
First will come the Rapture to give the saved a means of escape prior to the great tribulation leading to Christ’s 1000 year reign on earth and a new world. This agrees with the scripture:
Luke 21:36 below and 1Co 10:13 speak about escaping temptation. God always gives a choice that is in our best interest whether dealing with sin or problems brought on by sin. When we choose God’s way and salvation through Christ, God will provide a means of escape unless going through the problem will benefit us more. More will be discussed on the period of escape later. Why God says we might need to go through any tribulation is explained next.
The word rapture comes from the meaning of the body being “repaired” or snatched up to heaven.
Heb 12:5 And you have forgotten the exhortation which speaks to you as to sons, “My son, despise not the chastening of the Lord, nor faint when you are rebuked by Him;
Heb 12:6 for whom the Lord loves He chastens, and He scourges every son whom He receives.”
Heb 12:7 If you endure chastening, God deals with you as with sons, for what son is he whom the father does not chasten?
Heb 12:8 But if you are without chastisement, of which all are partakers, then you are bastards and not sons.
Heb 12:9 Furthermore we have had fathers of our flesh who corrected us, and we gave them reverence. Shall we not much rather be in subjection to the Father of spirits and live?
Heb 12:10 For truly they chastened us for a few days according to their own pleasure, but He for our profit, that we might be partakers of His holiness.
Heb 12:11 Now chastening for the present does not seem to be joyous, but grievous. Nevertheless afterward it yields the peaceable fruit of righteousness to those who are exercised by it.
We pray for help in all of life’s ways and God answers because He loves us. Our escape is either available on earth or to heaven. But, let us not digress, but return to the main theme
1Co 10:13 No temptation has taken you but what is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but with the temptation also will make a way to escape, so that you may be able to bear it. This event can come at any time now, however, it is possible that we may have to go through the first 3 1/2 years of the tribulation and will escape prior to the really bad times. The Father knows.
Next comes the times that are even more serious than what we have now.
Mat 24:3 And as He sat on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to Him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? And what shall be the sign of Your coming, and of the end of the world?
Mat 24:4 And Jesus answered and said to them, Take heed that no man deceive you.
Mat 24:5 For many will come in My name, saying, I am Christ, and will deceive many.
Mat 24:6 And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not troubled, for all these things must occur; but the end is not yet.
Mat 24:7 For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines and pestilences and earthquakes in different places.
Mat 24:8 All these are the beginning of sorrows.
Then those that have become believers since the rapture must go through the extreme persecution
Mat 24:9 Then they will deliver you up to be afflicted and will kill you. And you will be hated of all nations for My name’s sake.
Mat 24:10 And then many will be offended, and will betray one another, and will hate one another.
Mat 24:11 And many false prophets will rise and deceive many.
Mat 24:12 And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many will become cold.
Mat 24:13 But he who endures to the end, the same shall be kept safe.
Mat 24:14 And this gospel of the kingdom shall be proclaimed in all the world as a witness to all nations. And then the end shall come.
Mat 24:15 Therefore when you see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place (whoever reads, let him understand)(2Th 2:4 and Daniel 9:27 The antichrist stops the sacrifices to God and desecrates the holy of holies by sitting there declaring that he is God.)
Mat 24:16 Then let those in Judea flee into the mountains.
Mat 24:17 Let him on the housetop not come down to take anything out of his house; Mat 24:18 nor let him in the field turn back to take his clothes.
Mat 24:19 And woe to those who are with child, and to those who give suck in those days!
Mat 24:20 But pray that your flight is not in the winter, nor on the sabbath day;
Mat 24:21 for then shall be great tribulation, such as has not been since the beginning of the world to this time; no, nor ever shall be.
Mat 24:22 And unless those days should be shortened, no flesh would be saved. But for the elect’s sake, those days shall be shortened.
Mat 24:23 Then if any man shall say to you, Lo, here is Christ! Or, There! Do not believe it.
Mat 24:24 For false Christs and false prophets will arise and show great signs and wonders; so much so that, if it were possible, they would deceive even the elect.
Mat 24:25 Behold, I have told you beforehand.
Mat 24:26 Therefore if they shall say to you, Behold, He is in the desert! Do not go out. Behold, He is in the secret rooms! Do not believe it.
Mat 24:27 For as the lightning comes out of the east and shines even to the west, so also will be the coming of the Son of Man. (Christ will be seen coming from the East in agreement with the normal rotation of the earth allowing viewing of anything approaching earth.)
Mat 24:28 For wherever the carcass is, there the eagles will be gathered.
Mat 24:29 And immediately after the tribulation of those days, the sun shall be darkened and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from the heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken.
Mat 24:30 And then the sign of the Son of Man shall appear in the heavens. And then all the tribes of the earth shall mourn, and they shall see the Son of Man coming in the clouds of the heaven with power and great glory. This is prior to Christ’s actual return to earth and is not the rapture. Note that the signs of Matt. 24:29 and Luke 21:25 below refer to cataclysmic heavenly changes, such as the planets changing alignment with possible collisions. This, in turn, leads to great ocean waves and weather changes. When the sun’s light is gone and there is darkness it will be quite easy to see the light of Christ as He returns with those already in heaven. This huge army will be a glorious vision of Christ in power returning to physically conquer sinful mankind. He has already conquered spiritual sin when he threw Lucifer out of heaven. He conquered physical death when He rose from death and from hell.
Mat 24:31 And He shall send His angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather His elect from the four winds, from one end of the heavens to the other. (Those in heaven are assembled to return with Christ and fight the great war.)
Mat 24:32 Now learn a parable of the fig tree. When its branch is still tender and puts out leaves, you know that summer isnear.
Mat 24:33 So you, likewise, when you see all these things, shall know that it is near, at the doors.
Mat 24:34 Truly I say to you, This generation shall not pass until all these things are fulfilled (Asinglegenerationwillseetheculminationofendtimeprophecies.)
Mat 24:35 The heaven and the earth shall pass away, but My Words shall not pass away.
Mat 24:36 But of that day and hour no one knows, no, not the angels of Heaven, but only My Father. Now, a flashback to the description of the Rapture:
Mat 24:37 But as the days of Noah were, so shall be the coming of the Son of Man.
Mat 24:38 For as in the days before the flood, they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until theday Noah entered into the ark.
Mat 24:39 And they did not know until the flood came and took them all away. So also will be the coming of the Son of Man.
Things will be normal until the last moments whenChristreturns. Even now, in 2015-2016, we see some very unusual things taking place. All our main stabilizing elements are askew. Governments all over the world are untrustworthy, stocks, bonds and money markets are varying widely near failure, educational systems are foolish in how and what they are teaching, judicial systems are unjust, police and law enforcement units are not trusted, churches have a falling away of members due to ungodly ministries, wars and rumors of wars and dangers abound, families are torn apart and the institution of marriage between one man and one woman is seen by many to be out of style, there is much disunity among the races. All of these disconcerting natures have people on edge and unsure of what they should do. There is a sense of foreboding doom about to happen. It is like when a person is very sick and senses that they are about to die that an uneasiness grips them. Except, in this case people sense deadly changes are overtaking the entire earth and fear for what is to come is rampant. This is especially so for those who do not have the comfort of faith in God’s promises given to those in Christ. Those of faith looks forward to what God has already spoken of knowing that they will be cared for by a lovingGod.
The Rapture, described below, is when Christ comes near the earth to gather the saved who are dead and alive at the end of the gentile age. Those elect will be harvested home. Later, Christ physically returns to the earth. We will not see Jesus when he comes near the earth during the Rapture. It will be so quick, that none will have any warning.
Mat 24:40 Then two shall be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left.
Mat 24:41 Two shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left.
Mat 24:42 Therefore watch; for you do not know what hour your Lord comes.
Mat 24:43 But know this, that if the steward of the house had known in what watch the thief would come, he would have watched and would not have allowed his house to be dug through (brokeninto).
Mat 24:44 Therefore you also be ready, for in that hour you think not, the Son of Man comes.
1Th 4:16 For the Lord Himself shall descend from Heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ shall rise first.
1Th 4:17 Then we who are alive andremain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air. And so we shall ever be with the Lord. Some who did not escape the tribulation and are saved during the tribulation will join those already in heaven.

1Th 1:10 and to wait for His Son from Heaven (whom He raised from thedead), Jesus, who delivered us from the wrath to come. TheraptureoccurspriortoGod’sanger beingpouredoutontheearth.
1Th 5:9 For God has not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ,
2Th 2:2 that you should not be soon shaken inmind or troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word or letter, as through us, as ifthe Day of Christ is at hand.
2Th 2:3 Let not anyone deceive you by any means. For thatDayshall notcomeunless there first comes a falling away, and the man of sin shall be revealed, the son of perdition,
2Th 2:4 who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God, or that is worshiped, so that he sits as God in the temple of God, setting himself forth, that he is God.
2Th 2:5 Do you not remember that I told you these things when I was still with you?
2Th 2:6 And now you know what holds back, for him to be revealed in his own time.
2Th 2:7 For the mystery of lawlessness is already working, only he isnow holding back until it comes out of themidst.
2Th 2:8 And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom
2Pe 3:3 First, knowing this, that there will come in thelast days scoffers walking according to their own lusts
2Pe 3:4 and saying, Where is the promise of His coming? For since thefathers fell asleep, all things continue as theywerefrom the beginning of creation.
2Pe 3:5 For this is hidden from them bytheirwilling it, that the heavens were of old, and the earth out of the water, and through water, being held together by the Word of God,
2Pe 3:6 through which the world that then was, being flooded by water, perished.
2Pe 3:7 But the present heavens and the earth being kept in store by the same Word, are being kept for fire until the day of judgment and destruction of ungodly men.
2Pe 3:8 But, beloved, let not this one thing be hidden fromyou, that one day iswith theLord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.
2Pe 3:9 The Lord is not slow concerning His promise, as some count slowness, but is long-suffering toward us, not purposing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
2Pe 3:10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in thenight, in which the heavens will pass away with a rushing noise, and theelements will melt with fervent heat. And the earth and the works in it will be burned up.
2Pe 3:11 Then, all these things being abouttobedissolved, what sort ought you to be in holy behavior and godliness,
2Pe 3:12 looking for and rushing the coming of the Day of God, on account of which the heavens, being on fire, will melt away, and theelements will melt, burning with heat?
2Pe 3:13 But according to His promise, we look for new heavens and a new earth in which righteousness dwells.
2Pe 3:14 Therefore, beloved, looking for these things, be diligent, spotless, and without blemish, to be found by Him in peace.
2Pe 3:15 And think of the long-suffering of our Lord assalvation (as our beloved brother Paul also has written to you according to the wisdom given to him
2Pe 3:16 as also in all his letters, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which the unlearned and unstable pervert, as also theydo the rest of the Scriptures, to theirown destruction).
2Pe 3:17 Therefore, beloved, knowing beforehand, beware lest being led away with the error of the lawless, you fall from yourown steadfastness.
2Pe 3:18 But grow in grace and inknowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To Him bethe glory, both now and to theday of eternity. Amen.
As to the exact time of when the rapture occurs:
Marvin Rosenthal makes a compelling summary concerning the rapture in his book “The pre-wrath rapture of the Church.” The general tribulation period is 7 years. (Rev.12:6 specifies 1260 days or 7 years.) The great tribulation is the last 3 1/2 years (Rev.13:5 states 42 months or 3 1/2 years) that starts with the abomination of the desolation where the antichrist is revealed desecrating the temple. God’s wrath is poured out the last part of the last 3 1/2 years where the seals are broken and plagues are sent on the earth. See also Daniel 12:11 describing 1290 days between the daily sacrifice being stopped and the desolating abomination being set up. He believes that the rapture occurs just prior to God’s wrath being poured out. Therefore, the rapture would occur when cosmic disturbances happen and the sign of Christ’s coming. It is true that often God acts at the last moment to gain the greatest glory. In this instance, the escape would occur just before God works His physical judgments on the sins of the world as the Revelation seals are opened. This sounds like a good time to get out of the way. Otherwise, God would also be punishing the just that are His. Whenever the rapture occurs, pre-tribulation or mid-tribulation, you can be sure that the saved will be very willing to be rescued and will give God glory and greatpraise.
Now, jump forward to when Jesus will physically return to earth. Those that remain will know when this event comes, for there will be plenty of extreme signs.
Luk 21:25 And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars. And on the earth willbeanxiety of nations with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring;
Luk 21:26 men fainting from fear, and expecting those things which have come on the earth. For the powers of the heavens shall be shaken.
Luk 21:27 And then they shall see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory.
Luk 21:28 And when these things begin to happen, then look up and lift up your heads, for your redemption draws near.
Luk 21:29 And He spoke a parable to them: Behold the fig-tree and all the trees.
Luk 21:30 Now when they sprout leaves, seeing ityou will know that summer is now near.
Luk 21:31 So also, when you see these things happening, know that the kingdom of God is near.
Luk 21:32 Truly I say to you, This generation shall not pass away until all thesethings are fulfilled.
Luk 21:34 And take heed to yourselves, lest your hearts are weighed down with headaches and drinking and anxieties of this life; and that day should suddenly come on you;
Luk 21:35 for it shall come as a snare on all those sitting on theface of the whole earth.
Luk 21:36 Watch therefore, praying in every season that you may be counted worthy to escape all these things which shall occur, and to stand before the Son of Man.
How would one escape except by the rapture or by death?
Eze 30:1 And the Word of Jehovah came to me, saying,
Eze 30:2 Son of man, prophesy and say, So says the Lord Jehovah: Howl, Woe is the day!
Eze 30:3 For the day is near, even the day of Jehovah is near, a cloudy day. It shall be the time of the nations.
Eze 30:4 And the sword shall come on Egypt, and great pain shall be in Ethiopia, when the slain shall fall in Egypt, and they shall take away her multitude, and her foundations shall be broken down.
Eze 30:5 Ethiopia, and Libya, and Lydia, and all the mixed people; and Chub, and the men of the land who are in covenant with them shall fall by the sword.
Eze 30:6 So says Jehovah: Those who uphold Egypt shall also fall, and the pride of her power shall come down. From Migdol to Syene they shall fall in it by the sword, says the Lord Jehovah.
Eze 30:7 And they shall be ruined in the midst of the wasted lands, and her cities shall be in the midst of the wasted cities.
Eze 30:8 And they shall know that I am Jehovah, when I have set a fire in Egypt and all her helpers shall be destroyed.
Eze 30:9 In that day messengers shall go out from Me in ships to terrify the confident Ethiopians, and anguish shall be on them, as in the day of Egypt; for lo, it is coming.
Eze 30:10 So says the Lord Jehovah: I will also make the multitude of Egypt to cease by the hand of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon.
Eze 30:11 He and his people with them, the fearful of the nations, shall be brought to destroy the land. And they shall draw their swords against Egypt, and fill the land with the slain.
Eze 30:12 And I will make the rivers dry, and sell the land into the hand of the wicked. And I will waste the land, and her fullness, by the hand of strangers. I Jehovah have spoken.
Eze 30:13 So says the Lord Jehovah: I will also destroy the idols, and I will cause their images to cease out of Noph. And there shall no more be a ruler of the land in Egypt; and I will put a fear in the land of Egypt.
Zec 12:2 Behold, I will make Jerusalem a cup of trembling to all the peoples all around, and it shall also be against Judah in the siege against Jerusalem. Zec 12:5 And the governors of Judah shall say in their heart, The people of Jerusalem
shall be my strength in Jehovah of Hosts their God.
Zec 12:6 In that day I will make the governors of Judah like a hearth of fire among the wood, and like a torch of fire among cut grain. And they shall devour all the peoples all around, on the right hand and on the left hand. And Jerusalem shall be inhabited again in her place, in Jerusalem.
Zec 12:7 Jehovah also shall save the tents of Judah first, so that the glory of the house of David and the glory of the people of Jerusalem may not be magnified above Judah.
Zec 12:8 In that day Jehovah shall defend around the people of Jerusalem. And it will be, he who is feeble among them at that day shallbelike David; and the house of David shallbelike God, like the Angel of Jehovah before them. Zec 12:9 And it shall be in that day I will seek to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem.
Zec 12:10 And I will pour on the house of David, and on the people of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of prayers. And they shall look on Me whom they have pierced, and they shall mourn for Him, as one mourns for his only son, and shall be bitter over Him, as the bitterness over the first-born.
Zec 12:11 In that day shall be a great mourning in Jerusalem, like the mourning of Hadad-rimmon in the valley of Megiddo.
Zec 12:12 And the land shall mourn, each family apart; the family of David apart, and their wives apart; the family of the house of Nathan apart, and their wives apart. Zec 14:1 Behold, the day of Jehovah comes, and your spoil shall be divided in your midst.
Zec 14:2 For I will gather all nations to battle against Jerusalem; and the city shall be taken, and the houses plundered, and the women raped. And half of the city shall go into exile, and the rest of the people shall not be cut off from the city.
Zec 14:3 And Jehovah shall go out and fight against those nations, like the day He fought in the day of battle.
Zec 14:4 And His feet shall stand in that day on the Mount of Olives, which isbefore Jerusalem on the east, and the Mount of Olives shall divide from its middle, from the east and to the west, a very great valley. And half of the mountain shall move toward the north, and half of it toward the south.
Zec 14:5 And you shall flee to the valley of My mountains; for the valley of the mountains shall reach to Azal. And you shall flee as you fled from before the earthquake in the days of Uzziah king of Judah. And Jehovah my God shall come, and all the saints with you.
Zec 14:6 And it will be in that day, there shall not be light; the glorious ones shall shrink.
Zec 14:7 And it will be one day which shall be known to Jehovah, neither day nor night; but it will happen that at evening time it shall be light.
During the 1000 year reign of Christ on earth:
Zec 14:8 And it shall be in that day, living waters shall go out from Jerusalem; half of them shall go toward the eastern sea, and half of them toward the western sea. In summer and in winter it shall be.
Zec 14:9 And Jehovah shall be King over all the earth; in that day there shall be one Jehovah, and His name shall be one.
Zec 14:10 All the land shall be turned as a plain from Geba to Rimmon south of Jerusalem. And it shall rise and dwell in its place, from Benjamin’s Gate to the place of the First Gate; to the Corner Gate, and from the Tower of Hananeel to the king’s winepresses.
Zec 14:11 And they shall dwell in it, and there shall never again be a shutting in, but Jerusalem shall dwell safely.
Flashback:
Zec 14:12 And this shall be the plague with which Jehovah will strike all the peoples who have fought against Jerusalem. Their flesh shall rot while they stand on their feet, and their eyes shall rot in their sockets. And their tongue shall rot in their mouth.
(God’s glory or Nuclear war described.)
Zec 14:13 And it shall be in that day a great panic of Jehovah shall be among them And they shall each one lay hold of his neighbor, and his hand shall rise up against the hand of his neighbor. Zec 14:14 And Judah also shall fight at Jerusalem; and the wealth of all the nations all around shall be gathered, gold, and silver, and clothing in great abundance.
Zec 14:15 And so shall be the plague of the horse, the mule, the camel, and the ass, and of all the beasts which shall be in these tents, like this plague.
Zec 14:16 And it shall be, everyone who is left of all the nations which came up against Jerusalem shall go up from year to year to worship the King, Jehovah of Hosts, and to keep the Feast of Tabernacles.
Zec 14:17 And it shall be,
Zec 14:18 And if the family of Egypt does not go up, nor come in, they shall have no rain, but the plague with which Jehovah shall strike the nations who do not come up to keep the Feast of Tabernacles.
Zec 14:19 This shall be Egypt’s offense, and the offense of all the nations who do not come up to keep the Feast of Tabernacles.
Zec 14:20 In that day there shall be on the bells of the horses, HOLY TO JEHOVAH. And the pots in Jehovah’s house shall be like the bowls before the altar.
Zec 14:21 Yea, every pot in Jerusalem and in Judah shall be holy to Jehovah of Hosts. And all those who sacrifice shall come and take of them, and boil in them. And in that day there shall no longer be a trader in the house of Jehovah of Hosts.
Dan 9:16 O Lord, I pray You, according to all Your righteousness let Your anger and Your fury be turned away from Your city Jerusalem, Your holy mountain. Dan 9:24 Seventy weeks are decreed as to your people and as to your holy city, to finish the transgression and to make an end of sins, and to make atonement for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the Most Holy.
Dan 9:25 Know therefore and understand, that from the going out of the command to restore and to build Jerusalem, to Messiah thePrince, shall be seven weeks, and sixty- two weeks. (483daysor1year17days) The street shall be built again, and the wall, even in times of affliction.
Dan 9:26 And after sixty-two weeks Messiah shall be cut off, but not forHimself. And the people of the ruler who shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary. And the end of it shallbewith the flood, and ruins are determined, until theend shallbewar.
Dan 9:27 And he shall confirm a covenant with many forone week. And in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the offering to cease, and on a corner ofthealtardesolating abominations, even until theend. And that which was decreed shall be poured on the desolator. War of 3 1/2 years begins when the sacrifices are stopped and the anti-christ sits in the Holy of Holies and declares himself to be God. Christ returns to end the war and deliver Israel.
Dan 12:1 And at that time Michael shall stand up, the great ruler who stands for the sons of your people. And there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation; until that time. And at that time your people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book. 2Th 2:1 Now we beseech you, my brothers, with regard to the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our gathering together to Him,
2Th 2:2 that you should not be soon shaken inmind or troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word or letter, as through us, as if the Day of Christ is at hand.
2Th 2:3 Let not anyone deceive you by any means. For that Day shall not come unless there first comes a falling away, and the man of sin shall be revealed, the son of perdition,

2Th 2:8 And then the lawless one (theanti-christ) will be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the breath of His mouth and shall destroy with the brightness of His coming,
(verse 8 gives a clear picture of how God will destroy those at the battle of Armageddon. His breath likely describes a great wind that would confuse those attacking. The brightness of His coming would describe Christ’s full glory. This same glory was described to Moses as below:
Exo 33:19 And He said, I will make all My goodness pass before you, and I will proclaim the name of Jehovah before you. And I will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and will have mercy on whom I will have mercy.
Exo 33:20 And He said, You cannot see My face. For there no man can see Me and live. Exo 33:21 And Jehovah said, Behold! Thereisa place by Me, and you shall stand upon a rock.

Who comes against Israel
Eze 38:3 And say, So says the Lord Jehovah: Behold, I am against you, O Gog, the chief ruler of Rosh, Meshech and Tubal.
Eze 38:4 And I will turn you back, and put hooks into your jaws, and I will bring you out, and all your army, horses and horsemen, all of them clothed most perfectly, a great assembly with buckler and shield, all of them swordsmen;
Eze 38:5 Persia, Ethiopia, and Libya with them, all of them with shield and helmet;
Eze 38:6 Gomer and all his bands; the house of Togarmah from the recesses of the north, and all his bands; and many peoples with you. (Megog is Russia. Meshech indicates a country inside Russia. Persia is Iran, Iraq and Afghanistan. Ethiopia is
Egypt and Sudan. Togarmah was a son of Gomer. His descendants traded with Tyre for horses and mules in Ezekiel 27:14. They were also followers of Gog in Ezekiel 38:5 & 6. They were listed in the Assyrian records according to Unger’s Bible Dictionary.
Gog was a prince of Rosh, Meshech and Tubal. He was the son of Shemaiah and a descendant of Ruben in 1Chron.5:4.)
Eze 38:14 So, son of man, prophesy and say to Gog, So says the Lord Jehovah: In that day when My people of Israel dwells securely, shall you not know it?
Eze 38:15 And you shall come from your place out of the recesses of the North, you and many peoples with you, all of them riding on horses, a great company and a mighty army.
Eze 38:16 And you shall come up on My people Israel like a cloud, to cover the land. It shall be in the last days, and I will bring you against My land, so that the nations may know Me when I shall be sanctified in you, O Gog, before their eyes.

And the mountains shall be thrown down, and the steep places shall fall, and every wall shall fall to the ground.
Eze 38:21 And I will call for a sword against him on all My mountains, says the Lord Jehovah. Eachman’s sword shall be against his brother.
Eze 38:22 And I will judge him with a plague and with blood*. And I will rain on him, and on his bands, and on the many peoples with him, an overflowing shower, and great hailstones, fire and brimstone.
Rev 14:19 And the angel thrust in his sickle into the earth and gathered the vine of the earth, and cast itinto the great winepress of the anger of God.
Rev 14:20 And the winepress was trodden outside the city, and* blood came out of the winepress, even to the bridles of the horses, for the space of a thousand, six hundred stadia.

Eze 39:5 You shall fall on the face of the field, for I have spoken, says the Lord Jehovah. Eze 39:6 And I will send a fire on Magog, and on the secure inhabitants of the coasts.
And they shall know that I am Jehovah.
Eze 39:7 And I will make My holy name known in the midst of My people Israel. And I will not let them profane My holy name any more. And the nations shall know that I amJehovah, the Holy One in Israel.
Eze 39:8 Behold, it is coming, and it will be done, says the Lord Jehovah. This is the day of which I have spoken.
Eze 39:9 And the inhabitants of the cities of Israel shall go out and shall set on fire and burn the weapons, both the shields and the bucklers, the bows and the arrows, and the javelins, and the spears. And they shall burn them with fire seven years,

Eze 39:16 And also the name of the city isThe Multitude. And they shall cleanse the land.
Eze 39:17 And you, son of man, So says the Lord Jehovah. Speak to the bird of every wing, and to every beast of the field: Gather yourselves and come; gather yourselves from all around to My sacrifice that I sacrifice for you, a great sacrifice on the mountains of Israel, so that you may eat flesh and drink blood.
Eze 39:18 You shall eat the flesh of the mighty and drink the blood of the rulers of the earth, of rams, lambs, goats, andbulls, all of them fatlings of Bashan.

Eze 39:20 And you shall be filled at My table with horses and chariots, with mighty men, all the men of war, says the Lord Jehovah.
Immediately after Christ’s return he appears to Israel. They are convicted of their mistake in not believing Him. They repent and are forgiven.
When Jesus returns to save the remnant of Israel, they will know their misconception as a lie. They will be so ashamed that they will kill their children if they try to speak for God as prophets. In effect, they sacrifice their children in a shedding of blood.
Zec 13:3 And it shall be when any shall yet prophesy, his father and his mother who gave birth to him shall say to him then, You shall not live; for you speak lies in the name of Jehovah. And his father and his mother who gave him birth shall thrust him through when he prophesies.
Zec 13:4 And it shall be in that day, the prophets shall be ashamed, each one of his vision, when he prophesies. And they shall not wear a hairy garment to deceive.
Now comes the 1000 year reign of Christ on earth
Eze 39:21 And I will set My glory among the nations, and all the nations shall see My judgments which I have done, and My hand that I have laid on them.
Eze 39:22 So the house of Israel shall know that I amJehovah their God from that day and forward.
Rev 20:1 And I saw an angel come down from Heaven, having the key of the abyss and a great chain in his hand.
Rev 20:2 And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, who is the Devil and Satan, and bound him a thousand years.
Rev 20:3 And he cast him into the abyss and shut him up and set a seal on him, that he should deceive the nations no more until the thousand years should be fulfilled. And after that he must be loosed a little time.
Rev 20:4 And I saw thrones, and they sat on them, and judgment was given to them. And Isawthe souls of those who had been beheaded for the witness of Jesus and for the Word of God, and who had not worshiped the beast nor his image, nor had received his mark on their foreheads, nor in their hands. And they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.
Rev 20:5 But the rest of the dead did not live again until the thousand years were finished. This isthe first resurrection.
Rev 20:6 Blessed and holy ishe who has part in the first resurrection. The second death has no authority over these, but they will be priests of God and of Christ, and will reign with Him a thousand years.
Rev 20:7 And when the thousand years have expired, Satan will be loosed out of his prison.
Rev 20:8 And he will go out to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battle. The number of them isas the sand of the sea.
Rev 20:9 And they went up over the breadth of the earth and circled around the camp of the saints, and the beloved city. And fire came down from God out of Heaven and devoured them.
Rev 20:10 And the Devil who deceived them was cast into the Lake of Fire and Brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet were. And he will be tormented day and night forever and ever.
Rev 20:11 And I saw a great white throne, and Him sitting on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away. And a place was not found for them.
Rev 20:12 And I saw the dead, the small and the great, stand before God. And books were opened, and another book was opened, whichisthe Book of Life. And the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.
Rev 20:13 And the sea gave up the dead in it. And death and hell delivered up the dead in them. And each one of them was judged according to their works.
Rev 20:14 And death and hell were cast into the Lake of Fire. This is the second death. Rev 20:15 And if anyone was not found having been written in the Book of Life, he was cast into the Lake of Fire.
Seven is God’s perfect number. It took God 7 days to create the earth and its inhabitants. What happened on each of those creation days corresponds to 1000 years of our history.
2Pe 3:7 But the present heavens and the earth being kept in store by the same Word, are being kept for fire until the day of judgment and destruction of ungodly men.
2Pe3:8 But, beloved, let not this one thing be hidden fromyou, that one day iswith theLord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.
Scholars that have studied the Jewish and Gregorian calendars (and I think NASA) have concluded that in September of 2015 six thousand years have been recorded since Adam and Eve and six thousand years prior to their creation. (Thus, I believe that it is no coincidence that the special signs in the heavens of Venus and Jupiter appearing as one bright star as the same that heralded Christ’s birth, and the blood moons that are scheduled to appear very shortly are happening at this time.)
There were four thousand years of mankind prior to Christ on earth (BC)and now two thousand years have passed since Jesus’s death.(AD) The end of the age will be seven thousand years from the beginning. Thus, after Christ’s return to earth and His 1000 year reign, the end of the age will come to completion and the earth will be destroyed and replaced by a new earth, and a new Jerusalem all inhabited with Heavens saints living with Christ.
If anyone has not accepted Christ before the Rapture, they will have to live during the time of the 7 years of tribulation. They can still accept Christ as savior during that time and will ultimately be granted entrance to Heaven. But, they will not gain Heaven if they accept the mark of the beast. However, they will have to endure through very perilous times because of the evil rampant in the world. The Holy Spirit will still be available to any who accept Christ as savior after the Rapture (basedon):
Mar 13:11 But whenever they lead youaway and deliver youup, take no thought beforehand what you should speak or think. But speak whatever shall be given to you in that hour. For it is not you who speaks, but the Holy Spirit.
However, the Holy Spirit will no longer fight to restrain evil in the world.
“He”isunderstoodtobetheHolySpirit.
Those remaining after the Rapture will be killed if they do not accept the 666 mark of the beast (believed to be a computer chip under the skin) of the head or the hand required to sell or buy goods. They can still take hope that as soon as they are killed, they will be ushered into the presence of Christ for eternity. Most of this can be verified in scripture.
