Memory vs grace

Memoryvsgrace by lcl

Psa 51:1 To the Chief Musician. A Psalm of David, when Nathan the prophet came to him, after he had gone in to Bathsheba. Have mercy on me, O God, according to Your loving-kindness; according to the multitude of Your tender mercies, blot out my transgressions.

Psa 51:2 Wash me completely from my iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin.

Psa 51:3 For I confess my transgressions; and my sin is ever before me.

Joh 14:26 But the Comforter, the Holy Spirit whom the Father will send in My name, He shall teach you all things and bring all things to your remembrance, whatever I have said to you.

The above is absolutely true. Just as David continually remembered his sins and sought God’s mercy, so do I. By God’s Spirit, and clarity of mind, I remember things that I have done against the will of God as far back as the age of 4 . Many things were done by accident and many things happened by my words and actions being misinterpreted. Still, pain resulted in others lives, and mine, because of something that I did or did not do. The recall of other things also causes me pain because I know that I simply failed to act in the will of the Father. I know this because I can hold up the life, the teachings and attitudes of Christ against my own and find that I do not measure up at all to the standards of God. I also believe that anything that is contrary to God the Father’s will is sin and could prevent me from being in God’s presence through the eternity after death. The perfect holiness of God would prevent any sin to even be in His presence. Even Moses had to be hidden from God’s full glory as God came by him at his request.

Exo 33:18 And he said, I beseech You, let me see Your glory.

Exo 33:19 And He said, I will make all My goodness pass before you, and I will proclaim the name of Jehovah before you. And I will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and will have mercy on whom I will have mercy.

Exo 33:20 And He said, You cannot see My face. For there no man can see Me and live.

Exo 33:21 And Jehovah said, Behold! There is a place by Me, and you shall stand upon a rock.

Exo 33:22 And it will be, while My glory passes by, I will put you in a cleft of the rock, and will cover you with My hand while I pass by.

But, more than this, there comes a sadness at my having failed in the eyes of God and caused him sadness as well. Against all this there is only one hope that is given below.

Joh 14:27 Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

I must continually remind myself to give these burdens to Christ who is the only one capable of carrying them and hiding them from the remembrance of the Father. Christ bears the sins of all who believe and trust in him to cancel their sins through his shed blood for that cause. Praise God, Christ is my savior now and forever. He is the one who allows me to sleep in peace and find rest from my failings.

So, we have two opinions. We know that sin has occured, yet The blood sactifice of Jesus covers the sin from The Holy Father. The Father sees me as guiltless and Jesus said He died for me. I have no choice, but to say thank you to Christ and hello abba (papa) Father.

I do not wish to argue with God! For, if I win the argument, I lose Heaven and the love of God . I would have become un-grateful that Jesus suffered for me. Indeed, that would not be true for I am eternally grateful, and desire God’s love. Even, I think, as God desires our love and to give love in return. God is love. Who am I to say otherwise.
