The Beginning of Truth

The BeginningofTruth by lcl

Truth is not always what we would like to believe, but rather what is. The dictionary describes truth as being sincere and factual, or actual, in accord with reality. Timeless truth offers a bond of fidelity and constancy in what was, is and will be accurate in the past, present and future.

Knowing truth is essential in life because we are often required to risk much based on what we perceive and know as truth. How do people react to given situations? What do we know about how the things of the universe behave in relation to particular situations? What can make us sick and what can heal us? What laws must we obey and how do we obey the law? Knowing real truth is very important to life and our quality of life.

Had Balaam known the real truth of what his ass saw he would not have continued to strike the animal. Balaam was the one really at fault with God.

Num 22:23 And the ass saw the Angel of Jehovah standing in the way, and His sword drawn in His hand. And the ass turned aside out of the way and went into the field. And Balaam struck the ass, to turn her into the way.

Num 22:24 But the Angel of Jehovah stood in a path of the vineyards, a wall on this side, and a wall on that side.

Num 22:25 And when the ass saw the Angel of Jehovah, she pushed herself into the wall and crushed Balaam’s foot against the wall. And he struck her again.

If we become interested in the sorrows of those we meet, we would not be as quick to judge and snap at them. Isn’t it wonderful that God knows our hearts, not just what we say. His compassion to us is real for He has been here as a human and knows our sorrows and temptations first hand.

Truth starts with accurately knowing an initial premise, on which much is risked as we continue to build based on the starting idea. Never build a building without a strong foundation. Complicated mathematics begins with knowing that 1 plus 1 usually gives two. A successful electrical plan is designed around knowing the voltage and phase relationships available to operate the designed systems. Genes of a male and a female father and mother are required to produce offspring. Real holiness can only result from following the requirements of one who is truly holy. This is not a simple determination. As one movie put it, “Who you gonna call (or trust)?” Faith is involved when answers lie beyond what science thinks it knows about great universal truths. When Jesus spoke the simple statements below He offered the greatest truth foundations we will ever have in this life.

Joh 14:6 Jesus said to him, I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life; no one comes to the Father but by Me. Jesus spoke that He was the only way to the Father and Heaven. He was human and also the Son of God. His way and the Father’s way was the only way to eternal life.

Joh 14:10 Do you not believe that I am in the Father and the Father in Me? The Words that I speak to you I do not speak of Myself, but the Father who dwells in Me, He does the works. Jesus always spoke the words He received from the Father.

Joh 14:11 Believe Me that I am in the Father and the Father in Me, or else believe Me for the very works themselves. Jesus and the Father are one in unity of agreement and plan of desire.

Joh 14:16 And I will pray the Father, and He shall give you another Comforter, so that He may be with you forever,

Joh 14:17 the Spirit of Truth, whom the world cannot receive because it does not see Him nor know Him. But you know Him, for He dwells with you and shall be in you.

Jesus prayed to the Father and the Father sent the Holy Spirit who also continues to share the Father’s truth with those following Christ and the words of Christ.

Joh 15:1 I am the True Vine, and My Father is the Vinedresser.

Joh 15:2 Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit, He takes away. And every one that bears fruit, He prunes it so that it may bring forth more fruit.

Joh 15:5 I am the Vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, the same brings forth much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing.

Jesus is the path of spiritual nourishment and strength for all those grafted to Him. Life and God’s power are only possible through Him. Nothing is spiritually possible to accomplish without God, Christ and the Holy Spirit.

Just because we may have temptations and trials does not mean that God does not love us, but rather that He desires us to become strong in Him and a greater source of blessing to others.

Joh 15:6 If anyone does not abide in Me, he is cast out as a branch and is withered. And they gather and cast them into the fire, and they are burned. Joh 15:9 As the Father has loved Me, so I have loved you; continue in My love.

Joh 15:10 If you keep My commandments, you shall abide in My love, even as I have kept My Father’s commandments and abide in His love.

Joh 15:26 And when the Comforter has come, whom I will send to you from the Father, the Spirit of truth who proceeds from the Father, He shall testify of Me. Joh 15:27 And you also shall bear witness, because you have been with Me from the beginning.

Those without the covering of Christ and God’s love will be destroyed.

God does love those in Christ who do the will of the Father and the words Christ spoke.

The Holy Spirit will always speak of what Christ has spoken from the Father and will lift up the name of Jesus to receive glory.

Joh 16:13 However, when He, the Spirit of Truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth. For He shall not speak of Himself, but whatever He hears, He shall speak. And He will announce to you things to come.

The Holy Spirit also hears from the Father and speaks His words.

Mat 10:20 For it is not you who speak, but the Spirit of your Father who speaks in you.

Eph 2:18 For through Him we both have access by one Spirit to the Father.

Joh 17:6 I have revealed Your name to the men whom You gave to Me out of the world. They were Yours, and You gave them to Me, and they have kept Your word.

Joh 17:17 Sanctify them through Your truth. Your Word is truth.

Joh 17:24 Father, I desire that those whom You have given Me, that they may be with Me where I am, that they may behold My glory which You have given Me, for You have loved Me before the foundation of the world.

Joh 17:25 O righteous Father, indeed the world has not known You; but I have known You, and these have known that You have sent me.

Joh 17:26 And I made known to them Your name, and will make it known, so that the love with which You have loved Me may be in them, and I in them.

Joh 18:37 Pilate then said to Him, Are you a king then? Jesus answered, You say it that I am a king. To this end I was born, and for this cause I came into the world, that I should bear witness to the truth. Everyone who is of the truth hears My voice.

Jesus told the world about God The Father and the Holy Spirit. He spoke the Father’s words of complete truth and came to be a witness to the Father’s love and His love for each other and mankind. All who believe this truth hear and understand the words of Jesus.

When one accepts the ultimate truth of who God is and how He desires to help us, then one can build their life correctly. God’s will is known and what it takes to please Him. Holiness is achievable because the true holy one is the teacher and redeemer. All else can be in agreement with our creator who gave and continues to give answers to lifes questions. Know the truth and it shall set you free! Thank you Father for your truth. Thank you Jesus for being the Father’s messenger to us and the sacrifice for our redemption.
