Anger

A soft answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger. Proverbs 15:1

Whoever is angry with another Christian without cause is in danger of God’s judgement.

Whoever calls another “fool” is in danger of hell fire. Matt.5:22 Do not swear at all. Matt.5:34-37

Do not resist an evil person. If slapped on one cheek, turn the other cheek also. Isaiah 50:6, Matt.5:39-41 (This does not mean we are not to resist Satan as he challenges us spiritually!)

Love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you. Matt. 5:44, Rom. 12:20

Be angry and do not sin (see judgement and sin). Do not let the day end before getting rid of the wrath. Do not give in to the devil. Ephesians 4:26-27

Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, clamor and evil speaking be put away along with all malice.

Be kind, tenderhearted forgiving even as God forgave you. Ephesians 4:31-32

Walk in love as Christ loved us even to the point of death as a sacrifice to God. Eph.5:2 (Give your anger and desire for revenge to God, for He says,) “Vengeance is MineI will repay. The Lord will judge His people. It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God. Hebrews 10:30-31

Let every man (person) be swift to listen (to God), slow to speak, slow to wrath, for wrath does not produce the righteousness of God. James 1:19-20
