Heaven & The Kingdom of God

The kingdom’s mysteries described in parables. Matt.13:24-52 Heaven’s real value is in worshipful fellowship with God, and peace and joy resulting from an absence of sin.

The kingdom of God is not found while on earth by looking (around you), it is within you.

Luke 17:20-21

The kingdom cannot be seen unless one is born again (spiritually). John 3:3

The kingdom cannot be entered unless one is born of water and the Spirit. John 3:5 All who ascended to heaven did so through the son of Man (Christ). John 3:13 Only attained by those that do God’s will. Matt.7:21-27

Peter given the keys to heaven to determine what things shall be bound in heaven or loosed on earth and in heaven. Matthew 16:18-19

Is attained only by conversion (to Christianity) and trusting as a child. Matt. 18:3

All are as angels. No earthly marriages are continued there. Matt.22:30, Mark12:25, Luke 20:36

Those who are to sit beside Christ have already been chosen by God. Mark 10:40

Trust God as a child trusts a parent to enter the kingdom of God. Mark 10:15, Luke 18:16-17 The least important in the kingdom of God will be greater than John the Baptist. Luke 7:28 Heaven is not fit for anyone who looks back and quits doing Christ’s workLuke 9:62

The kingdom of God is difficult for a rich man to enter, but possible with God’s help.

Luke 18:18-27

There are different levels to heaven. Paradise is the 3rd level where John saw a man he knew.

2Cor. 12:2

Christians will also see and receive Christ’s glory. John 17:22-24

There are different glories ( wondrous characteristics) of types of flesh and celestial bodies as well as natural (human) bodies versus spiritual bodies. 1Cor.15:39-44, 50

We shall be as Christ is in heaven. Rom 6:5 For if we have been joined together in the likeness of His death, we shall also be in the likeness of His resurrection;

1Jn 3:2 Beloved, now we are children of God, and it has not yet been revealed what we shall be. But we know that when He shall be revealed, we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is.

The kingdom is not eating and drinking, but righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit Romans 14:17

The kingdom of God is not just found in word (talk) but is living by God’s power. 1Cor.4:20 Angels and men are observing our actions on earth. 1Cor.4:9

Every high priest taken from among men is appointed to help men, in things pertaining to God, that he may offer both gifts and sacrifices for sins. Hebrews 5:1-4

A holy Jerusalem is described in Rev.21:10-27

The ark of the covenant ceases to be on earth when Christ returns. Jer. 3:16 It is in heaven. Rev. 11:19
