Speaking
The thoughts of the wicked are an abomination to the Lord, but the words of the pure are pleasant. Proverbs 15:26 The heart of the righteous studies how to answer, but the mouth of the wicked pours forth evil. Proverbs 15:28
The preparations of the heart belong to a man, but the answer of the tongue is from the Lord.
Proverbs 16:1
He who has knowledge spares his words. Even a fool is counted wise when he holds his peace. When he shuts his lips, he is considered perceptive. Proverbs 17: 27-28
A fool’s lips enter into contention, and his mouth calls for blows. A fool’s mouth is his destruction, and his lips are the snare of his soul. Proverbs 18:6-7
Death and life are in the power of the tongue. (People encourage others to correct living or tempt them into evil by what they say.) Proverbs 18:21
Do not speak in the hearing of a fool, for he will despise the wisdom of your words.

Through (Christ) let us continually offer the sacrifice of praise to God, as the fruit of our lips,

The tongue can set fire (for good or) defiling the whole body. It sets the course of nature. No man can tame the tongue (without Christ). (All things are possible with Christ) James 3:1-12
Women not to speak in church. They were to ask their husbands about any questions they had later. 1Cor.14:34-35 Paul felt that women were not to teach or usurp the authority the authority of men due to Eve’s leading Adam into sin. 1 Timothy 2:12-14
Let your speech have grace, seasoned with salt (having a pleasant flavor) that you will know how you ought to answer (those outside the church). Col.4:5-6
Avoid profane and idle babblings & contradictions of what is falsely called knowledge. By professing it some have strayed from the faith. 1Timothy 6:20-21
Shun profane and idle babblings, they increase to more ungodliness. 2Tim.2:16
Hold fast the pattern of sound words which you have heard (or read) in faith and love which are in Christ Jesus. Keep these by the Holy Spirit who dwells within. 2Tim.1:13-14
Do not refuse the words of Christ spoken on earth, for if there was no escape when He spoke on earth, how much more shall we not escape if we turn away from Him speaking from heaven. Hebrews 12:25
Do not say you are planning this or that, for you do not know what tomorrow will bring and life is fleeting. Instead say, “If the Lord wills, we shall live and do this or that” instead of boasting what you shall do in arrogance to God as a sin. James 4:13-17

God’s word goes forth from His mouth; and does not return void, but accomplishes what He pleases and prospers in the thing for which He sent it. Isaiah 55:11
The heavens and the earth that are now preserved by (God’s) word, are reserved for fire until the day of judgment and perdition for ungodly men. 2nd Peter 3:7
Christ cursed (killed) a fig tree that gave a false hope for food. (In like manner, Christ came to destroy Satan who seeks to destroy the hope of people with his lies.) He also used the incident to teach how words spoken in faith can do miracles when God’s will, for forgiveness, is being followed. Matthew 21:19-21, Mark 11:13-14 & 20-26
