Mercy extended

God waits to be gracious and have mercy on you in order that He will be exalted. Those who wait for Him are blessed and receive justice. Isaiah 30:18

Those who wait on The Lord shall renew their strength and be lifted as on eagles wings. They shall run and not be weary. They shall walk and not faint. Isaiah 40:31

God fulfills the vision of those who wait (on Him). Habakkuk 2:1-3

He who covers his sins will not prosper, but whoever confesses and forsakes them will have mercy. Proverbs 28:13

The Lord will perfect that which concerns me; Your mercy, O Lord, endures forever; do not forsake the works of your hands. Psalm 138:8

God’s love and compassions for His people never fail. They are new every morning.

Lamentations 3:22-23

Jesus calls sinners to repentance in a tax collector’s house. Matt.9:13, Luke 5:32 Be merciful to receive mercy from God. Luke 7:36

A womans sins forgiven due to her faith and love for Christ and humble repentance. She had washed His feet with her tears & hair and anointed them with costly oil. Luke 7:36-50

Mercy given to an adulteress. John 8:3-11

Mercy was available to Timothy because his sin was done ignorantly (of God’s will) in unbelief, and because Christ was to use him as an example of His longsuffering (with man) and desire to save sinners. (When Timothy heard the truth he changed.) 1Timothy 1:12-16
